Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 June 2026
UGPG.online (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates an online platform that helps students discover, compare, and apply to online undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by accredited Indian universities. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using our website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit an enquiry, request a callback, or fill in a form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the course or university you are interested in, your city or state, and any other details you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we may collect device and usage information such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring URLs, including through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Connect you with relevant universities, colleges, and counsellors;
- Respond to your enquiries and provide counselling and application assistance;
- Send you information about programmes, admissions, and offers you have asked about;
- Operate, improve, and personalise our website and services;
- Detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
How we share your information
We are a comparison and lead-facilitation platform, not a university. To provide the service you request, we share the details you submit with the universities, colleges, and authorised counselling partners relevant to your enquiry, who may contact you directly.
We may also share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the platform (for example hosting, analytics, and communication tools), under confidentiality obligations;
- Authorities or regulators where required by law; and
- A successor entity in connection with a merger or business transfer.
We do not sell your personal information.
Communications and your consent
When you submit an enquiry, you consent to being contacted by UGPG.online and its partners by phone, SMS, email, and WhatsApp regarding your enquiry. You can opt out at any time by telling the caller, replying STOP to messages, or emailing us at the address below. Some service messages relating to an active enquiry may still be sent.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site and to improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and to resolve disputes. When it is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent you have previously given. To exercise these rights, contact our Grievance Officer using the details below. We will respond within the timelines required by law.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services are intended for users who are 18 years or older, or who use the platform with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate consent.
