Uttaranchal University is a private university in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, established in 2013 under the Uttaranchal University Act, 2012 and promoted by the Sushila Devi Centre for Professional Studies and Research. Its campus is located on NH-72 in Dehradun. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956, and holds a NAAC A+ accreditation — the first university in Uttarakhand to receive an A+ grade in its first accreditation cycle. Its Centre for Distance & Online Education delivers UGC-entitled online degree programmes that are equivalent to regular degrees.
